Using google forms
Google Forms allows you to collect the responses of students to questions, electronically. Students are able to complete the Google Form on any device (computer, tablet, mobile phone). This is particularly useful for flipped learning, as you can set students to complete a Google Form on a topic prior to a lesson and look at their responses. This means that you have an awareness of their understanding in advance of the lesson, and can tailor the lesson to respond to their needs.
To use Google Forms you will need a google drive account (It is easy to set one up, if you don't have one - drive.google.com). To use a Google Form from Flipped Around Physics just click on the highlighted link. This will ask you to make a copy. The copy will be placed on your google drive. To share the Google Form with your students, just click SEND. You can either send the Google Form via email (by entering email addresses of students in your class) or you can copy the URL address and make it available to your students. (Note: It is often useful to make a shortened URL using tinyurl.com.) Once students have completed the Google Form and pressed SUBMIT, their responses can be viewed - just click on RESPONSES tab. If you want to see all of the responses on a spreadsheet, just click on the green and yellow icon in the RESPONSES tab. This will then create a spreadsheet in your google drive. |
