I have 18 years experience teaching Secondary Science/Physics in UK state and private schools and a further 2 years at a leading international school in Bangkok. For the last 8 year I have worked as a Freelance Teacher/Tutor in schools and privately. I have particular experience working in Special Needs Departments in Schools.
In my teaching experience I have had the opportunity to teach students of the highest calibre. Many of my A level students have achieved top grades in Physics and moved on to study at some of the top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. I have taught in both selective and non-selective schools and encountered students from all backgrounds and with differing levels of ability.
From this experience, I have developed a wide range of teaching strategies and resources. I have also had experience of working as a research scientist, and this informs my teaching of ‘how science works’, which I feel is a very valuable component of the science curriculum.
